It is the most important distinction in this section.
No. Tender Meats is a complementary food: it provides quality protein and palatability, but on its own it does not cover the vitamins, minerals and proportions a cat needs daily.
A cat fed only on complementary food would end up deficient. Always serve it also of their main food.
As a guide from the manufacturer: cats weighing 0 to 3 kg, one pouch per day. Cats weighing 3 to 6 kg, between one and a half and two pouches a day.
Always on top of the main food, deducting its calories if the cat tends to gain weight.
It has three clear uses: as treat in training or to build a bond, as topping to get a fussy cat to finish their ration, and as Hydration support in cats that drink little.
It is also useful for hiding medication, though it is worth checking with the vet depending on the drug.
in Meat Lovers, if your cat is neutered you have three protein options; sardine and lamb is the one if you suspect sensitisation to chicken. For kittens, the Kitten recipe with EPA + DHA.
in Tender Meats and Tender Low Grain, any of them works as a snack. The shellfish ones have a stronger aroma and work better with fussy cats. The difference between the two ranges is the cereal: Tender Meats has none, Low Grain has 1% rice as a binder.
Identifiable shreds and pieces of meat, not a uniform paste. Texture is part of what decides whether your cat comes back.
