Rawhide, or rawhide, swells in the stomach and is difficult to digest, which is why its use has declined. Collagen dissolves more easily, reducing the risk of a swallowed whole piece causing problems.

It is still a chew product: supervise your dog and remove small pieces.

It helps through friction: repeated chewing removes some surface plaque. It supports dental care but does not replace brushing or veterinary cleaning when tartar has formed.

The manufacturer’s guideline is half a stick for dogs under 10 kg and one per day for larger dogs, split across several sessions if needed. Deduct it from the day’s other treats.

Always supervise chewing and remove the final piece once it is small enough to swallow whole. Introduce gradually when feeding for the first time.

Not suitable for dogs with a known allergy to chicken, beef or soya without consulting a vet first.
