Complete food for neutered adult cats of all breeds. Neutering reduces energy expenditure and increases appetite, a combination that easily leads to excess weight. This formula raises protein to 37% and lowers fat to 11% to maintain muscle mass while controlling calorie intake.
Fresh chicken 35% (after extrusion), dried chicken 32%, brown rice 10%, maize, maize gluten, hydrolysed chicken liver, rice protein, beetroot, cellulose, chicken oil, potato protein, yeasts, fish oil, sodium chloride, sodium polyphosphates, inulin (fructo-oligosaccharides), hydrolysed yeast cell walls (source of MOS), potassium chloride, citrus extracts, yucca schidigera.
Neutered cats, particularly males, have a higher risk of urinary problems. The recipe includes adjusted mineral levels to help maintain a suitable urine pH, plus citrus extracts and yucca schidigera.
Water intake remains the most effective measure: keep the water bowl away from the food bowl and use a wide bowl.

Cats are particularly reluctant to change foods: they may refuse the bowl as soon as they notice something different. Go more slowly than with a dog and never remove the previous food abruptly.
Mix the kibble well so your cat cannot separate it and eat only its usual food.
Half and half. If food is left in the bowl, extend this stage by two days.
By now your cat should accept the new flavour without hesitation.
Transition complete. Keep the water bowl away from the food bowl: cats drink more this way.

Two factors combine: resting energy expenditure falls by around 20–30%, while hormonal changes increase appetite.
The result is a cat that eats more and burns less with the same routine. It is therefore worth changing formula in the weeks after the procedure, without waiting for the scales to show a difference.
