It contains hibiscus and DL-methionine, which acidify the urine and create an environment unfavourable to struvite crystals, helping dissolve those already formed. Its magnesium (0.018%), calcium (0.2%) and phosphorus (0.16%) are reduced to avoid urinary saturation.

Its 77% moisture increases urine volume, which dilutes minerals and helps flush the urinary tract naturally.

For an average-weight adult cat, 3 cans per day divided into two or more meals. This is the manufacturer’s guide: the vet sets the individual plan according to weight, diagnosis and progress.

Once opened, cover, refrigerate and use within 24 hours. Always provide fresh water.

From 5 to 12 weeks to dissolve the stones. It is a temporary solution: after that period the vet should consider moving to a maintenance diet.

It is not recommended for kittens, pregnant or nursing females, or cats with non-struvite uroliths.

About this
diet

These are general answers: the prescribing vet has the final say.

Hibiscus and DL-methionine lower urine pH. That acid environment makes new crystals harder to form and helps dissolve existing ones.

Because it deliberately alters mineral balance and urine pH. It must be confirmed that the stone is struvite: with another type of urolith this diet is not just useless, it can make things worse.

Only if your vet recommends it. Mixing dilutes the formula’s effect and may reintroduce what it was intended to exclude.
